The Vibe Hosting pricing

Updated 2026-10-16

One USD credit balance, no plans and no reserved sizes. Every month you get free credit; after that you pay only for what actually runs — RAM while a server is awake, outbound traffic and disk. CPU is always free. You never need a credit card to start.

In short

The free tier

Anonymous (no signup)Verified (phone)
Free credit, every month$0.90$2.25 — a 512 MB server runs 24/7 free
RAM per serverup to 256 MBup to 2 GB (4 GB once you hold paid credit)
CPUup to 2 cores, always free
Always-on (never sleeps)no — sleeps when idle, wakes on the next requestyes, optional per server
Your own domainnoyes, up to 3 per server, HTTPS automatic
Servers2 per networkunlimited
Credit cardnever required to start

After the free credit: RAM $0.005 per GB-hour while the server is awake, outbound traffic $0.10/GB, disk $0.25 per GB-month. No plans, no reserved sizes — you pay for what actually runs.

What's free 24/7

With a verified phone, the $2.25 monthly credit covers a 512 MB server that never sleeps, all month: 0.5 GB × 720 hours × $0.005 = $1.80 of RAM, plus about 1 GB of disk at $0.25. That's a small API, a bot, an MCP server or a website running around the clock for $0.

Anything that sleeps when idle is close to free at any size: RAM is only billed while a server is awake, so a project nobody is visiting costs next to nothing beyond its disk.

Paid usage: pay only for what runs

ResourcePriceHow it's measured
RAM$0.005 per GB-hourReal measured usage, only while the server is awake — not a reserved size
CPUfreeUp to 2 cores per server
Outbound traffic (egress)$0.10 per GBData your server sends out
Disk$0.25 per GB-monthReal used space, billed 24/7 — also while the server sleeps

Free credit is spent first, then prepaid credit. You can check your balance, rates and current burn rate at any time through the API (GET /account/billing) — or just ask your agent.

Always-on billing

There are no always-on plans. A verified account can flag any server always-on (it never sleeps, no cold starts), and it is billed by the RAM it really uses, 24/7, at the same rate. One server, RAM only:

RAM, 24/7Gross per monthAfter the $2.25 free credit
512 MB$1.80free
1 GB$3.60≈ $1.35
2 GB$7.20≈ $4.95
4 GB$14.40≈ $12.15

Disk ($0.25/GB-month) and egress ($0.10/GB) come on top. 4 GB per server is available once the account holds paid credit.

How sleeping works

By default a server sleeps after about 10 minutes without incoming traffic. Its RAM is freed and stops being billed; files and installed packages stay on disk. The next request wakes it within a few seconds. That's why websites, APIs and webhook bots usually stay inside the free credit, while things with no visitors — a Discord gateway bot, a worker, a long-running agent — should be marked always-on.

Top-up: adding credit

No credit card

Neither free tier asks for a card. An anonymous account is created by the first API call; a phone number upgrades it over SMS. A card only comes in if you decide to buy credit, and then only on Stripe's checkout page.

Worked examples

ProjectTypical monthly cost
A landing page or vibe-coded website that sleeps when idle$0
A Discord bot using ~128 MB, always-on≈ $0.45 gross — inside the free credit
A small MCP server or API, 512 MB, always-on$1.80 gross — inside the free credit
A full-stack app with 1 GB RAM always-on and 2 GB of data$3.60 RAM + $0.50 disk − $2.25 ≈ $1.85, plus egress

A plain VPS is still the better deal for a big, steadily busy workload that you're happy to administer yourself. For the many small projects that are idle most of the day, paying only for awake RAM is cheaper — often free.

FAQ

How much does The Vibe Hosting cost?

It's free to start. Every month you get $0.90 of free credit without signup, or $2.25 with a verified phone — enough for a 512 MB server running 24/7. Beyond that you pay $0.005 per GB-hour of RAM while a server is awake, $0.10 per GB of outbound traffic and $0.25 per GB-month of disk. CPU is free.

Do I need a credit card?

No. Both free tiers work without a card. You only pay by card if you choose to add credit, through Stripe checkout.

Are there monthly plans?

No. There is one credit balance. Always-on is a per-server setting billed by the RAM the server really uses.

Does unused free credit roll over?

No — free credit is topped up to $0.90 or $2.25 each month. Credit you buy does carry over until it's used.

Is a sleeping server billed?

Not for RAM. A sleeping server's RAM is freed and not billed; only its disk ($0.25 per GB-month) keeps counting.

What happens when my credit runs out?

Servers are paused after a short grace period. Add credit or reduce usage and they can run again.
